Logistically Challenging? No problem!

In January 2018, we got an inquiry that was a little out there.. a wedding in August of 2019…on an ISLAND! We immediately said, YES! Let’s do this!!

When we went into this, we had no idea how we were going to do it, but we were going to figure it out! Through the whole process the client was so helpful and aware that we had a logistical challenge in front of us. They got a private boat for all of the vendors and hired someone to drive us back and forth. We had no idea how many trips it would take or how long it would take to drive from land to island! So we went out the day before to get some things loaded in! This was the best thing because it gave us an idea of timing for the day of! It made for a smooth and easy load in process the day before and the day of! We had a blast driving the golf cart around the island as we loaded up and down all day!

The day of was magical! It started off with guests arrive by lady of the lake!

They had an amazing intimate ceremony with live music. They went into a cocktail hour where guests got to explore the island, and had butler passed hors d’oeuvres.

We sat down with Lauren, her Aunt, and Uncle a few months before to talk about what’s going to work best for food and style of service. They decided on family style for dinner! Their menu was amazing! Stuffed pork, Chicken Marsala, Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus Risotto, and Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. Now, some of these items don’t travel best (as we had discussed with them) so they graciously let us finish some things on the island, in their kitchen. That’s also where we our expertise comes in handy in knowing how to travel best with food. We timed it out correctly to ensure all of the food was fresh, and hot! Everyone loved the food! Not only did we receive compliments the day of, the bride and groom mentioned they received many compliments after their big day!

As the night went on, we set up Muddy Paws Cheesecakes! They had a HUGE variety to choose from! It was like cheesecake heaven!

They had a photo booth set up on the side of the tent where we were driving our equipment down to the docks and I’m pretty sure they got a few random shots of us in the golf cart driving by!

They had a total blast with dancing and the DJ! EVERYONE was out on the dance floor. I’ve never seen a dance floor so entertaining in my life! They devoured the late night tacos we provided, and proceeded to stayed up until 3am sitting around the bonfire with all of the their friends. It was truly the perfect day!

So! If you are looking to have a logistically challenging event, and thinking “how the heck are we going to do this?!” check out this vendor team. They won’t let you down!
